King County Metro SchoolPool
The King County Metro SchoolPool program works through the ridesharing resource RideshareOnline.com by connecting school administrators with parents to help set up networks across parents and students to coordinate carpools, and walking and biking trips to reduce single occupancy vehicle (SOV) trips and car emissions.
SchoolPool allows municipalities and communities to reduce vehicle congestion around schools.
SchoolPool is a free and secure service. SchoolPool is for children attending public or private elementary, middle, high schools.
1. Contact your child’s school, ask for the transportation coordinator, and tell them you are interested in participating in the SchoolPool commuter program.
2. If your school does not have a SchoolPool program set up, ask them to contact the email address below for information. Participating providers can help set up a secure network at your school for free.
3. Once your school’s network has been created, parents can sign up by registering through RideshareOnline.com. When you are signed up, simply log onto the site to get your ridematch list.
