Pierce County Transportation Services - Beyond the Borders Demand Response
Beyond the Borders helps eligible residents access public transportation, medical services, employment, shopping, and social activities. People who are ages 12 - 17, seniors 65 years or older, people with disabilities, and adults with low incomes may be eligible for this transportation service. The FREE program includes two services: fixed route connector buses in Sumner and Spanaway/South Hill and demand-response transportation in South and East Pierce county.
Demand Response eligibility is limited to:
• Work/Employment locations (maximum ride total of $750 per person per month).
• Dialysis treatment (must meet income criteria) - Call to check their wait list.
• Other destinations (must be essential/lifeline destinations) – Up to 3 trips per month per rider.
