Pierce Transit - Limited Access Connections

Pierce County is partnering with the ridehailing company Lyft to provide first-mile/last-mile connections in parts of Pierce County with limited transit service. Pierce Transit is looking to relieve parking congestion, reduce the burden on Park and Rides, and provide rides home for college students. These rides from Lyft will bring people to or from transit hubs, so that they can take transit the rest of the way:

  • Commuter connections to/from Sounder station (Puyallup), and bus stops (Fife)
  • Late-night rides home for Pierce College Puyallup students
  • Midday and weekend rides to Tacoma Dome Station (NE Tacoma)
  • Connections to trunk routes for Parkland, Spanaway and UP residents

If you do not have a smartphone, you can go to ride.lyft.com or you may call 253-581-8032 and a customer service representative will assist you in requesting a trip.

lyft Sign

Look for this RideShare sign at transit centers within pick-up/drop-off zones so you’ll know where to secure your Lyft ride! Some of the pick-up/and drop-off zones are not at transit centers, and therefore do not have similar signs. In these cases, just stand at the bus stop and order a Lyft like you normally would.
